Quick Links for Valentine’s Day
The new web site is coming along well; I think there will be a preview image or two going up here, soon. I’m afraid that means I don’t have anything really clever for Valentine’s Day (and President’s Day isn’t looking great, either). Meanwhile, though:
Amusing: The Milky Way Transit Authority.
Also amusing: Iron Man as a Mr. Potatohead, a.k.a. “Tony Starch.”
On a more somber note, the BBC has an outstanding story on the earthquake toll in Haiti, comparing it with other recent quakes through a series of well-designed charts and graphics. You can pretty much just look at the pictures here and get it. (If you wish to send some help to those affected, there is certainly still need.)
Finally, one note regarding Valentine’s Day: don’t forget to pick up discounted chocolates tomorrow. (Unless you live in Lakewood, Ohio, in which case you should wait until Tuesday, after I’ve had a chance to clean out Malley’s… only kidding. Sort of!)
Something funny to add to your [post]Valentine’s day bit…here’s something I found amusing: http://jessepetersen.net/ecard1.html.
Nice. I’ll have to save that.
Thanks Wendi!
